ハワイAORの名盤 Stay Awake by 505

週末の片づけの時にでてきたハワイ在住時の想い出のアルバム。
94年発売のハワイアンAORの名盤です。
5：05（ファイブ・オー・ファイブ）によるStay Awakeです。これを聴きながらよくドライブしました。
特にハワイでもNO.1ヒット曲にもなった名曲”Pua Nani”はお気に入りの1曲。

残念ながら5：05はこのアルバムだけで解散してしまいましたが、ボーカルのBEN VEGAS（ベン・ヴェガス）さんが気になってググってみると、まだ現役で頑張っていらっしゃるのですね。

そしてYoutubeで見つけた動画。今度ハワイに行ったときにはライブでその美声を聴きたい！

ということで、、、、あまりの懐かしさ故に、他のアルバムがないか探してみることに。

ポニーキャニオン

1997年にベンがソロデビューした時のアルバム、”Walking In The Light”に4曲を追加した ”Full Circle”（1998年 Island Groove）の国内版です。
しかも国内版だと、私の大好きなPua Naniのアコースティック・ビーチ・ヴァージョンがボーナストラックとして入っているという運命的なもの!!! これは買わずにはいられませんでした。
